You may be eligible for fuel tax credits if you use liquid or gas fuel to run:
- Machinery
- Plant
- Equipment
- Heavy vehicles
- Light vehicles to travel off public roads or on private roads
The amount you can claim depends of when you purchased the fuel, what fuel you use and the activity that you use it on. Determining if you’re eligible for fuel tax credits can be complicated but at SB Partners we always make sure we’re up to date with the latest fuel tax regulation so we can get you the best possible tax outcome.
If you qualify for fuel tax credits, you can claim for eligible fuel that is acquired, imported, manufactured or used in the business. Eligible fuel includes petrol, diesel, bio diesel, ethanol, kerosene and heating oil. The applicable credit rates change regularly but we’ll always make sure you claim the right amount.
